SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for a team member to be assigned to Tarros Shipping.

Tarros SPA, one of the regional shipping companies of the world has been represented by Arkas since 1985 in Turkey. Tarros SPA and Arkas have decided to enter a joint venture due to increasing trade volume in Turkey by creating a new company called Tarros Shipping and Transport as of January, 2011. Tarros Shipping and Transport ships containers to the Mediterranean region and North Africa. The company offers regular weekly service with two modern container vessels to/from the Italian ports of Salerno, Genoa and La Spezia from/to Istanbul, Gemlik, Gebze and Izmir and from/to Morocco,Portugal,North Africa,Spain ports via Italy. Tarros also provides direct service with six vessels between the port of  Mersin and ports in Egypt, Italy, Morocco ,Portugal and Spain. Additionally provides direct services between the port of  Istanbul, Gemlik, Gebze, Izmir and ports in Egypt, Lebanon. Tarros Shipping operates with four offices in Izmir,Istanbul, Bursa and Mersin.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1- 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Proficient in MS Office programs
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented
• Highly persuasive
• Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset
• Strong follow-up and control skills
• No travel restrictions

Job Description

• Conduct market analysis to ensure the implementation of established marketing and sales policies
• Conduct effective and efficient customer visits by gathering detailed customer information
• Prepare and follow up on offers in line with tariffs and agreements based on customer interactions
• Prepare necessary reports at specific intervals
• Carry out all marketing activities in order to reach the targets set in parallel with the marketing and sales policies of the company
• Follow the developments in the market closely
